Steve is a 36 year veteran of the fire service, currently serving as a Deputy Chief in Scottsdale. He is a Life Member of the Scottsdale Charros and serves on the board of trustees for Health World of Scottsdale.

Steve joined the Scottsdale Historical Society board in 2016 and is Policies & Procedures Chair and member of the Resource Development committee.

Other interests and service to Scottsdale: Past President of the Partners for Paiute and Scottsdale Papago Rotary boards and graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class 10.
